1) Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how CheckMyLicense ("CheckMyLicense", "Trade't", "we", "our", "us") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our website, portal, and APIs (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2) Who We Are & Contact

CheckMyLicense service is operated by Traded LLC, with operational addresses in Hazmieh, Lebanon and Saone, France. For any privacy questions or requests, contact:support@traded.net.

3) Information We Collect

• Account & Organization Data: name, email address, organization name, role, login credentials (hashed), settings.
• Usage & Licensing Data: programs created, licenses created, license verification requests ("API hits"), timestamps, and status.
• Content You Provide: optional uploads such as compiled binaries or artifacts you store to facilitate delivery; we store these in hashed/encrypted form and cannot decrypt without your password.
• Technical Data: IP address, device/browser type, operating system, request headers, and basic diagnostic logs.
• Billing & Payments: we do not store your card data. Payments are handled by third parties (e.g., PayPal, XPay, card processors). We keep transaction references and invoice metadata.
• Communications: emails you send us (support requests, feedback), and our replies.
• Cookies: essential cookies for authentication/session. See "Cookies" below.

4) How We Use Your Information

• Provide, operate, and secure the Service (authentication, sessions, API calls).
• Enforce license checks and show you usage metrics (programs, licenses, hits).
• Create and manage invoices, process payments (via PayPal/XPay/card processors), and manage billing status.
• Detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms.
• Improve reliability and performance (diagnostics, debugging, product improvement).
• Communicate with you about changes, service notices, and (optionally) product updates/marketing (opt-out available).
• Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

5) Legal Bases (GDPR-style)

Where GDPR or similar laws apply, our processing relies on one or more of the following legal bases:

• Contract: to provide the Service you requested (account, API, billing, support).

6) Sharing & Disclosures

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information with:

• Infrastructure & Hosting: Nhost for hosting, storage, and authentication.
• Payments: PayPal, XPay, and card processors (for payment processing and fraud checks).
• Email/Communications: our email service provider(s) for transactional and support emails.
• Professional Services: legal, accounting, and security advisors under confidentiality obligations.
• Compliance & Law Enforcement: where required by applicable law or to protect our rights, users, and the Service.
• Business Transfers: if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, data may transfer with appropriate safeguards.

7) International Transfers

We may process data in, and transfer data to, countries other than yours based on regions where our providers operate. We use reasonable measures to protect data during transfers (e.g., contractual safeguards) consistent with applicable law.

8) Data Retention

• Active Accounts: we retain account, usage, and operational data for as long as your organization uses the Service.
• After Termination: we generally retain data for up to 12 months for potential reactivation, audits, and compliance; afterward, we permanently delete it (or anonymize where feasible).
• Invoices & Ledgers: financial records may be kept longer where legally required.
• Backups/Logs: short-lived backups and logs may persist briefly beyond deletion for integrity, security, and recovery.

9) Your Rights

Subject to local law, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. If we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. To exercise rights, email support@traded.net. We may need to verify your identity.

10) Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information (e.g., HTTPS, encryption at rest by our host, hashed passwords, access controls). No system can be 100% secure. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for choosing a strong password.

11) Cookies & Similar Technologies

• Essential Cookies: required for authentication, sessions, and core features (cannot be disabled without affecting functionality).
• Optional/Analytics: if enabled, help us understand basic usage patterns to improve the Service (never required for access). Where required, we will request your consent.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent you from using the Service.

12) Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for users aged 18+. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact support@traded.net and we will delete it.

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party websites and services (e.g., payment providers). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party content or privacy practices.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new “Last Updated” date. Material changes may be communicated via email or in-product notice where appropriate.

15) Governing Law & Venue

This Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Lebanon. Any disputes arising from or relating to this Policy are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Beirut, Lebanon.
